Branches

Aksai branch

The branch has an area of 57,899 hectares, is located on the territory of Karasay district, Almaty region and is divided into two forestlands (forest areas)

Medeu branch

The total area of Medeu branch is 40,107 hectares, the branch is divided into 3 forestlands (forest areas)

Talgar branch

The total area of Talgar branch is 26, 652 hectares, the branch is divided into 3 forestlands (forest areas)

Turgen branch

The branch has an area of 74, 594 hectares and is divided into three forestlands (forest areas)

Almaty State Integrated Nature Reserve

The nature reserve is located in the South-West part of the Talgar district, Almaty Region, in the central part of the Zailiyskiy Alatau range, which is the northern-most range of the Tien Shan mountain system. The main part of the conservation area is located in the basins of the Chilik, Turgen, Yesik, Zhinishke rivers. The total area is 542,400 ha.
