Autumn condition of shrubby trees growing on the territory of the Ile-Alatau SNNP

Scientific specialists of the research department made a business trip to the Medeu, Talgar, Turgen branches in order to monitor the state of woody-shrubby, herbaceous vegetation growing in the park, the state of productivity and seed production. In the Big Almaty forestry, at an altitude of 1330 m above sea level, on the monitoring site of a sea buckthorn bush (lat. Hippophae), located along the road, determined the productivity of sea buckthorn this year. This year’s harvest on the scale of V. G. Kapper (1930) is 4 points. The fruits are fully ripe, the bitter taste present in the fruits has not disappeared yet. And at an altitude of 1370 m, several individuals of privet (Latin Ligustrum) have been identified, which grew up in the wild. The yield of a privet with curved branches from densely arranged fruits is 5 points. It was also found that the barberry bush, growing at an altitude of 1410 m above sea level, has a yield index of 0 points and a pale leaf color. This change was observed in many barberries in the park. In the Talgar branch of the Kokbastau forestry at an altitude of 1590 m above sea level, it was noticed that the blue-gray blackberry has both yellowed leaves and ripe fruits inside. Several flowering perennial and annual herbaceous plants have been found in this community. Of these: Clover (Trifolium), Hawk (Hieracium echioides Lumn), Meadow geranium (Geranium pratense), bluebell (Campanula glomerata). Specialists went to the place of the next monitoring observation in the Kamenny gorge, where, at an altitude of 1,450 m above sea level, they revealed the yield of barberry, whose fruit sizes reach 0.5 – 1 cm. This year’s performance is 2 points.

Along the highway descending from the Kuznetsov Gorge, on the lower slope, at an altitude of 1040 m above sea level, there was a massive flowering of the Curly-barred shrub (Atraphaxis virgata), which covers the entire slope of the mountain and gives a beautiful view. Experts also witnessed the moment of the re-flowering of the broad-flowered rosehip (Rosa platyacantha) on the lower slope, the flowering period of which ends in early spring.
